Are you passionate about maintaining and enhancing your local community’s outdoor spaces? We're looking for a proactive and reliable urban services operator to join our team!
In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining parks, gardens, streetscapes, and recreational areas, ensuring they are safe, attractive, and functional for the public. Your work will include everything from mowing and pruning to tree maintenance, irrigation, cleaning of public amenities, litter control, and infrastructure repairs—helping to keep our town looking its best.
As an urban services operator, you’ll also support sustainable practices like stormwater management, water conservation, and maintaining environmental standards. Safety is key in this role, so you’ll conduct daily safety checks, adhere to work health and safety regulations, and operate tools and equipment safely. You’ll also be the go-to person for assisting the community, providing helpful information, and supporting local events by preparing outdoor spaces.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in horticulture, landscaping, or park maintenance, with a strong understanding of plant care, soil management, and equipment operation. You will be part of a dedicated team, so pride in your work and your town are key to succeeding in this role.
A valid driver’s license, White Card, willingness to obtain relevant certifications (such as chainsaw operation and chemical application), and willingness to participate in a roster for weekend overtime cleaning of public toilets are essential.
