Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is Australia’s largest rural water corporation, responsible for storing, managing, and delivering water across most of northern Victoria. GMW provides more than 39,000 services to about 25,000 customers in its operating region.

About the role:

As Storage Manager, primarily based at our Cairn Curran office, with a secondary location at Lake Eppalock, you’ll lead two small, collaborative teams to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of several of Victoria’s essential water storage and recreational areas.

This role combines hands-on operational oversight with team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and emergency response.

Flexibility is essential for this role, as you must be available to backfill for the teams' on-call roster, which includes a one-hour emergency recall, and may be asked to assist at other sites as needed. Housing assistance is available.

What we’re looking for

Proven collaborative leadership with strong stakeholder management skills

Skilled in driving quality and efficiency through innovative continuous improvement

Experience in Storage Operations (Desirable)

Knowledge of ANCOLD Guidelines (Desirable)
