We are hiring!
Sydney Blood Specialists, an established clinical haematology practice located at the San Clinic, Wahroonga, is seeking a dynamic, supportive, and confident receptionist to join our small professional team. We deliver modern, evidence-based subspecialty medicine with patient wellbeing at its heart.
About the role:
We are looking for a dedicated and professional specialist medical secretary looking for long term tenure. Prior experience as a medical receptionist will be preferred, though on the job training will be provided in a supportive environment as needed. The rooms are located at the San Clinic on the grounds of the Sydney Adventist Hospital.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
Scheduling Patient Consultations and Procedures
Attending to enquiries from both Patient and Referring Health Practitioners
Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
Invoicing and receipting of patients
Drafting of quotes and payment management
Liaison with Medicare, health insurers, healthcare providers and governmental agencies
Attending to patient and doctor enquiries
Conducting Patient Surveys
Skills and Abilities:
Maintain patient confidentiality
Work in a team as well as autonomously
Manage workflow, and delegate and prioritize appropriately
Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong language skills and literacy
Desirable criteria:
Experience as a medical secretary or similar role
Experience working with medical software such as Gentu
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail
A keen interest in the healthcare and specialist medical industry

You will comply with Health and Safety requirements
You will undertake additional training and professional development when required

This position requires our Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join us for 3-4 days per week in a permanent part time role, commencing January 2025
