Service and Repair Technician Petrol Generators & Air Compressors

Job Purpose: Responsible for servicing and repairing machine tools and all types of Petrol/diesel generators and Air Compressors by being able to strip, identify components, quote and repair all machines within the agreed service level parameters

 Key Performance Areas: Receipt and preparation of machines, Repair the machines, Adhere to Health and Safety standards, Customer Service, KPI’S / STANDARDS, Take note of customer special instructions, Accurate information on job card, Accurate information, Within 10-15 minutes once machine has been received, Quote within 3 days, Obtain approval of quote and repair within 2 days, Correct spares received from Stores, Acceptable turnaround times, 100% testing of machine, No Customer complaints received, PPE Procedures and Policy, Housekeeping checklist, Attendance Register, Customer feedback

 Minimum Qualifications/ Experience and Other Requirements: Grade 12 with Maths and Science. Written and spoken English. 5 years working experience repairing power generators and air compressors of all sizes. Must be willing to occasionally work extended hours and on weekends

 Competencies Required: Understanding of workshop environments, Knowledge of Health and Safety, Knowledge of relevant company policies, processes and procedures, An understanding of service and repair techniques and procedures with various categories of machine tools
