National retailer with an outlet in Worcester is seeking to employ an experienced Storeman to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling customer orders, general housekeeping, handling stock, attending to various stock queries and partake in stock takes.

Herewith an overview of the position: Assembling Customer Orders, Attending to Queries, Loss Control & Handling Stock, Health & Safety – Housekeeping, Stock Takes.

Skills & Abilities: Responsible and highly reliable, Safe lifting and carrying techniques, Ability to recognise symptoms of damaged or poor-quality stock, Good Communication Skills, A pleasant and controlled manner of dealing with people at all times, Ability to listen and interpret information accurately, Numerical Skills, Computer Literacy Skills, Ability to follow specified procedures in the completion of their duties, Interpersonal / Social skills. (Ability to interact with customers in an enthusiastic, polite and professional manner). The ability to present themselves and the Company in a professional manner.

Experience, Qualifications & Knowledge: Product knowledge, Knowledge of delivery routes and times, Knowledge of stores layout and location of stock, Know coding and labelling systems, Knowledge of stock rotation procedures, Knowledge of handling stock, Knows stock take procedures, Knowledge of company documentation, Knowledge of goods and services provided by the company, Grade 12 or equivalent, Clear credit and criminal record – as per our client requirements, Salary – Negotiable depending on experience.
