Quality Assurance Officer, Azura Fresh, Sydney, Parramatta & Western Suburbs, Salary, $40,000 - $54,999, About the business. We are a manufacturer of ready to eat food products including Sandwiches, Wraps, Rolls and Salads. We have production facility in a number of states including QLD, NSW, VIC and WA. The position is for a full-time role is accountable for daily onsite quality control, documentation and processes. The position is based in our NSW (Yennora) facility.

About the role: Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role is crucial in ensuring that our site meets both the required food safety, quality standards and our customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include but not restricted to: Ensuring that manufacturing comply with all food safety and quality systems in place Implementing changes regarding the food safety system. Monitoring raw material , packaging & finished product quality, reporting non conformance and implementing corrective actions. Day to day document control of completed documentation, collation and filing. Conduct pre operational checks, including swabbing, directing corrective actions where required. Sampling raw materials, finished products and swabbing equipment for micro analysis. Conducting internal audits and participating in third party accreditation audits. Participate in staff training relating to food safety & quality processing. Participate in HACCP reviews and implementation of changes to the program.

Skills and experience: To be considered for this role you will be qualified in a tertiary qualification in the area of Food Science's or related fields in addition to the following: Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role Knowledge of third party certification standards such as, HACCP, SQF, WQA, BRC Current HACCP qualification Basic microbiological knowledge Ability to multi-task and work autonomously Excellent communication skills Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
