New Business Representative, Bellville, Northern Suburbs. Synopsis: National and well established courier company has vacancies for New Business Representatives. The company is based in the northern suburbs of Cape Town.

Requirements: Grade 12, Computer literate, Valid drivers license, Own reliable vehicle, Clear criminal and credit backgrounds, Contactable references, Excellent and proven sales history in  similar industry

Purpose of Role: To identify and secure new business for the company. To meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

Personal Attributes & Strengths: should be well spoken and well presented. Should have excellent communication skills, verbally  as well as in writing. Should be structured and organized. Should be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Should have excellent problem solving skills. Should be a keen negotiator.

Responsibilities: Ensure that all sales admin, systems and records are current and accurate. Completion of daily activity reports Provide timeous and accurate input for sales reports.

Negotiate pricing to the benefit of the client and the company. Identify underlying challenges and find appropriate solutions. Remain updated and current on sales and customer trends globally as well as industry specific trends.

Identify areas of priority. Submit professional and accurate proposals timeously. Large Companies. To be present at tender briefings when invited. To prepare proposals to meet tender requirements and specifications and submit before or on due date. Effectively “on-board” new clients during final engagement phase for distribution to hubs. Smaller Businesses To use multiple interventions to procure or promote new business and build business networks and relationships. Hands on research in stores for major brands to determine distribution channels

Identify procurement decision makers and arrange meetings and presentations. Remuneration: Negotiable. Most recent or relevant salary will be taken into consideration.
