Junior Projects Manager, Other, Cape Town. Company Name: HRW Property Group. Junior Projects Manager needed for a company specialising in renovations, waterproofing and construction in the Western Cape.

Task and Responsibilities: In coordination with the Director, ensure that all maintenance activities are well planned, and coordinated by utilising the available resources. Direct and supervise all involved site personnel and subcontractors. Guide all work groups and control the required resources (manpower, equipment, materials and tools required) to start and sustain the work efficiency and productivity until the completion of the project. Inspects work in progress to ensure it meets specifications and requirements.

Advise the Director in determining the need and procurement of tools and materials in order to conform to the workloads, plans, and schedules. Support and assist staff where necessary, with a hands-on approach. Ensure that all personnel needed on site is communicated with. Transport staff to and from the site. Keep the Director up to date on the progress of projects and site activities daily. Coordinate waterproofing activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Competence and knowledge in the construction/renovation environment. Technical skills, motivated, has strong leadership, able to encourage subordinates and other work groups to work as a team. Understanding of relevant disciplines (building, electrical, plumbing). Possess negotiation and influence skills, innovative, creative thinker, flexible and excellent organizer. Excellent oral & written communication in English and interpersonal skills. Can work with less supervision and under pressure.

Minimum Requirements: Matric essential. Valid Driver’s license essential. At least two years’ experience in renovation and/or construction environment. Able to liaise with clients as well as workers in a professional manner
