Experienced Chef, Barmilano. Maroubra, Sydney NSW. Chefs/Cooks (Hospitality & Tourism). Full time. barmilano | bramilano | Restaurant & Bar is a 200 seat multi-faceted Restaurant, Bar & Events venue located beachfront at Maroubra Beach.

Our fast-paced Restaurant, Cocktail Bar & Events Venue is seeking dynamic individuals to join our team. Team barmilano are proud finalists in the Restaurant & Catering awards for excellence last year coming a very close 2nd. We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts with both full-time and part-time hours available. Experience with Italian cuisine is a PLUS!

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will be responsible for: Preparing and cooking food according to customer orders. Ensuring that all dishes created are of high quality and presented well. Assist with planning of menus and provide input to seasonal changes and/or specials to the menus.

Responsible for stock control: Following and complying with food hygiene regulations, safe work practice and knowledge of allergy restricted food. Help manage and develop the kitchen team and work together with Front of house manager/team to ensure smooth service is provided.

Skills and experience: The successful applicant will be confident in their skills, motivated to perform and will need to demonstrate: Experience working in a similar role. Uncompromising attitude towards high food quality, presentation, and safety. Strong communication skills, able to work well within a team. Excellent planning skills and the ability to think on your feet even under pressure. Available on weekends and public holidays. Ability to support the Head Chef and contribute to the venue. Experience in authentic Italian cuisine is preferred. Relevant cookery qualification and experience is preferred. Full-time & part time hours working breakfast, lunch &/ or Dinner shifts available for the right candidate. Please respond with contact details, CV and availability.
