Civil Contracting Operator/Assistant

Matt’s Mowing and Contracting SA specialises in large-scale civil/commercial mowing, slashing and spraying jobs across South Australia. We are looking for a casual employee to join our team. Hours will range from 15 to 45 per week and overtime/living away opportunities may be available to the right candidate.

Tasks may include but are not limited to:

Tractor slashing and front deck mowing

Weed control (spraying)

Brush cutting and chainsawing

Traffic control duties

General equipment maintenance

The successful applicant must be reliable, hard-working, flexible and willing to learn on the job. We are looking for an employee who understands the importance of time management and enjoys working on various jobs across multiple job sites. Prior experience in machinery operation and maintenance, traffic control, slashing and/or weed control are desirable, but not essential. The following accreditations are equally desirable, but not essential:

White Card

Operate and Maintain Chainsaws

ChemCert or Pest Management Technicians Licence

TC1/TMI1 or TC2/TMI2 Traffic Management

MR or HR Truck Licence

Please note: The successful applicant(s) must hold a current SA driver’s licence, have at least two years of driving expereince, and will be required to provide a current National Criminal History Record Check, issued within the past 12 months. An initial twelve-week probation period will apply.
